Poached Calf

This sixteen-month-old calf was murdered by poachers. The poachers then staked out the carcass, knowing that the calf’s mother was repeatedly returning to the site where her baby had been killed. Rhino rangers scared off the poachers, preventing them from killing the mother as well.
